Members of the Bo’ness Town Trust Association enjoyed a group visit to the House of the Binns on Saturday.
The historic House was home to the famous Dalyell family, including the former Father of the House of Commons, the late Tam Dalyell MP.
The trip was supported by funding from Falkirk Council.
The Association thanked volunteer guides from the National Trust for Scotland for their excellent tour and hospitality.
The Association promotes the history of the local area, through evening talks by guest speakers. The group recently finished its latest season – with a new series of talks expected to start later this year. Meetings are normally held in St Catharine’s Church Hall in Bo’ness.
The Association says the evenings offer a great opportunity to learn more about the area’s heritage while enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits. Membership is normally £5 for the season.
