A popular picture framing business is hoping to have a brush with success with its new art venture.
The Frame Shop – which traded for five years from a base in Linlithgow High Street – has launched Cascade Prints to offer great quality prints and original paintings to its army of customers.
To celebrate the launch, owner Jim Devlin is giving give away three limited edition, framed prints of a stunning new painting of Linlithgow Palace. Each framed print (sized 34 x 26 inches) normally sells for £90 each, but you can win one for free.
Check out this week’s Linlithgowshire Journal and Gazette for details (out August 27).
The business, now based in East Calder, is also offering 10 per cent discount to every Journal and Gazette reader. See the paper for details.
“We’re working with a range of artists, specialising in historic and local scenes,” said Jim. “The new painting of Linlithgow Palace, by artist Ian M. Fraser, is quite stunning and drawing in a lot of interest. We thought it would be a great prize giveaway to launch our new venture.”
Jim moved to premises in East Calder two years ago. “Lots of people in Linlithgow and Bo’ness keep coming back to us,” said Jim. “Hopefully they’ll like some of the things we’re doing with Cascade. We’re offering limited edition prints, and ‘open editions’ (where prints can be unlimited). We’re also selling original paintings to customers. There’s a real demand for good quality pictures at competitive prices, so we hope Cascade will be a success.”
